Havens has formulated a new unique feed for all horses and ponies to help them with digestive problems or stomach ulcers.
Blended with a special cocktail of sodium bicarbonate, calcium carbonate, magnesium and additional probiotics to sooth the stomach and neutralise excess acid. Gastro+ is a horse feed with a high specification of amino-acids, vitamins (i.a. 400mg Vit.E), and trace elements; providing your (sport)horse with all nutrients it needs.
Low starch content in combination with a high content of alfalfa, promoting the chewing and saliva production. Alfalfa and saliva are both proven to be a natural buffer to acidity in the digestive tract. Extra oil with an optimal Omega 6-3 fatty acid ratio that supports ulcer healing. Also, it provides slow releasing energy to support optimal performance.
Feeding Gastro+ will only lead to optimal results if the entire feed management is optimized. Concentrates will only come to their justice when a horse has access to sufficient fibres.
It is therefore important to supply unlimited roughage alongside Gastro+. This does not result in horses with bloated stomachs, because Gastro+ optimizes the gastro-intestinal digestion. The ration helps digestive track and as a result all the available energy can be fully used to deliver performance.
